Job Summary
Provide clinical leadership and strategic input to general practice within Western Health, guiding service planning, improving care integration, and championing GP involvement across Victoria’s western health services. Responsibilities include offering expert general practice advice to support planning and initiatives, strengthening partnerships between Western Health, GPs, and primary care stakeholders, contributing to quality, safety, and clinical governance discussions, supporting referral pathways and hospital-community integration, delivering GP education and capability-building initiatives in collaboration with specialists and the North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network, responding to GP enquiries, participating in strategic planning and continuous improvement activities, and representing Western Health in committees and external forums to promote best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold General Practice registration with the Medical Board of Australia / AHPRA
- Hold Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and/or The Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM)
