Job Summary
General Operator at Qnity Towanda, PA. Responsibilities include operating site equipment and processes with strict adherence to SOPs and safety principles, meeting business goals, supporting continuous improvement, and participating in Emergency Response Team. Requires learning new computer software, basic Microsoft Office skills, lifting and PPE use, rotating shifts, and ability to work overtime. The role emphasizes safety, environmental stewardship, teamwork, and ethical behavior within a PSM-rated facility, with no visa sponsorship or relocation assistance available.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Ability to work rotating shift schedule
- Ability to rotate assignments
- Ability to work overtime, including holidays, weekends, and short notice call in as required
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs., climb stairs and ladders multiple times per day
- Ability to wear PPE (steel-toed shoes, hardhat, Nomex clothing, protective eyewear, face shields, arc protective clothing, respirator, SCBA)
- Must have ability to learn new computer software systems and have experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication skills and experience working in a team environment
- Preferred: Associate or higher degree
- Preferred: experience with Lean Manufacturing
- Preferred: Six Sigma
- Preferred: SAP
