Job Summary
Review shop order packets, perform setups, and check part dimensions within tight tolerances. Operate and monitor furnaces, build heat treat loads, and perform routine maintenance or repairs on equipment. Verify settings, measure first pieces, and conduct 100% visual and dimensional inspections per ISO procedures. Set up lathes by selecting and adjusting tools, fixturing, and indexers while monitoring machine cycles. Determine heat treat schedules with team leaders and report difficulties to shop leads. This role supports US Rod Manufacturing's production in Nappanee, Indiana, with Monday through Friday shifts running from 5AM to 3:30PM or 3PM to 1:30AM.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in the manufacturing sector
- Ability to work in hot environments
- Sitting, bending, standing, walking 8-10 hours a day
- Must comply with all safety and PPE requirements
- Attention to detail
- Deadline-oriented
- Works well with minimal supervision
- Monday through Friday 5AM-3:30PM (1st Shift) or 3PM- 1:30AM (2nd Shift) (50 hours)
Desired Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or GED preferred
- Experience working in an API Q1/ISO 9001:2015 environment a plus
