Required Qualifications

• •High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• •1 – 4 years related industrial manufacturing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• •Ability to read and interpret blueprints or other job specifications
• •Knowledge of basic computer skills and departmental applications: SPC & Shop Floor System
• •Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• •Ability to write simple correspondence
• •Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to Team Members of the organization
• •Ability to add and subtract six digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
• •Ability to perform these operations using units and weight measurement, volume, and distance

• •Ability to participate, upon request, in analyses (of risks, incidents) and HSE working groups related to his/her professional scope
• •Familiarity with the main health and safety risks and the main environmental impacts relating to the scope of his/her work
• •Familiarity with the site's HSE policy and objectives
• •Ability to make proposals for improving working conditions and limiting environmental impact
• •Ability to set up and run secondary production machines such as: Drill, Milling, Trim, Tapping, Crimping, Vision, Stamping, Marking, Deburr, Manual Punch Press, EDM and Auto Assembly
• •Maintain the expected level of competency for production machines in accordance with skill assessments
• •Clear understanding and performance of SOP (Standard Operating Procedures), work instructions, SPC, and/or special requirements
• •Ability to recognize and remedy minor machine or tooling malfunctioning
• •Ability to make minor adjustments as necessary
• •Ability to observe machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunctions
• •Ability to read blueprints or Manufacturing Order (MO) for product specification such as: dimensions, tolerances, number or parts to be formed, and tooling instruction on type tooling required
• •Ability to inspect product using calipers, micrometer, comparator, scales, templates, or other measuring instruments to verify conformance to blueprint or manufacturing instructions
• •Ability to record information such as: First article inspection, in-process inspection, number of products tested, meter readings, and dates and times of work piece production; perform SPC as required
• •Ability to recognize cosmetic non-conformances based on Company specifications such as: burrs, galling, cracked edges, slug marks, dimensional changes in production parts and initiate action to prevent non-conformance, in such as stopping the machine and notifying the Lead person or Supervisor
• •Ability to operate Shop Floor System and record MO information
• •Ability to perform minor machine maintenance such as: changing worn accessories, oiling and cleaning machines, dies, or parts, and adding coolant to machine reservoirs as part of daily job start/end
• •Ability to report all malfunctioning equipment and non-conforming parts to Lead or Supervisors to determine course of action needed
• •Ability to perform record keeping, data entry, house keeping and follow safety regulations
• •Ability to assist less-skilled operators to develop skills and set-ups
• •Ability to comply with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local, and State government, LISI Aerospace, and HSE Procedures
• •Ability to follow all 5S department procedures which include but not limited to: keeping floors clean of oil and debris, returning tools to proper locations, organize part pans, and perform other housekeeping duties
• •Ability to attend all training provided and adhere to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting requirements, and safe operating procedures at all times
• •Ability to bring any known or suspected nonconformance for all company procedures or legal requirements to management's attention immediately
• •Ability to continually seek opportunities to improve HSE performance by establishing objectives and targets, measuring progress, and reporting our results
• •Ability to perform a variety of other related duties as assigned
