Job Summary
Sort and handle televisions, computers, mobile phones, and other electronic devices to direct them to correct recycling streams. Safely dismantle equipment, removing cables, circuit boards, and batteries, while operating shredding, baling, and other processing machinery to maximize output. Inspect incoming Small Domestic Appliances for compliance with recycling standards and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment. Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental regulations, reporting any concerns or malfunctions immediately. Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets in a physically demanding role.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in a recycling or waste management environment
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to recycling
- Ability to operate machinery or willingness to be trained
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety protocols
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including lifting and moving equipment
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Desired Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude or experience in dismantling electronic equipment is advantageous
