Job Summary
Lead a General Merchandise team by planning daily workloads, assigning tasks based on traffic patterns, and ensuring product availability through replenishment, signing, and merchandising. Direct hourly staff in coaching, training, and evaluating performance while holding them accountable for guest experience commitments and operational accuracy. Manage inventory levels, price changes, and fulfillment processes to support sales goals and maintain store profitability. Collaborate with leaders to identify process gaps, develop improvement plans, and ensure compliance with safety, security, and beverage laws. Evaluate candidates for open positions and identify high-potential team members for future leadership roles.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Age 18 or older
- Previous retail experience preferred, but not required
- Lead and hold others accountable
- Communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
- Effective communication skills
- Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
- Interpret instructions, reports and information
- Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
- Climb up and down ladders
- Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from others
- Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); reliable and prompt attendance necessary
- Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary)
- Must be able to lift 44 pounds
