Job Summary
General Merchandise Team Leader at Target. Responsibilities include leading a GM team to deliver an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience; planning daily/weekly workload to support store sales goals; coaching and developing hourly team members; overseeing in-store operations such as receiving products, signing, merchandising, restocking, and price changes; ensuring product availability, accurate pricing, and inventory controls; communicating company priorities and providing feedback to improve processes; and supporting staffing, training, and safety/compliance. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, 18+, flexible schedule, strong guest-service orientation, ability to lead others, and physical ability to perform duties (lifting up to 44 pounds). Familiarity with inventory management, merchandising, and store operations is desired.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Age 18 or older
- Previous retail experience preferred, but not required
- Flexibility to work variable schedule (nights, weekends, holidays)
- Ability to lead and develop a team
- Strong communication and guest-service skills
- Ability to handle cash operations and merchandise handling
- Comfort with physical tasks (lifting up to 44 pounds)
- Experience with merchandising, pricing, and stock management
- Ability to interpret instructions and operate scanners/devices
