Job Summary
General Merchandise Manager responsible for the management of non–food product areas, ensuring offerings are presented to delight customers and that store and warehouse operations run smoothly. Leads people, coaching a team to deliver outstanding customer experiences, achieves KPIs, and handles performance issues and disciplinary matters. Oversees daily operations and delivers direction and support to colleagues to ensure customer satisfaction, with the ability to operate independently in the absence of senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Experience leading teams in a dynamic, customer-facing environment with a track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences and coaching others to improve performance.
- Proven ability to drive KPIs across sales, stock availability, customer satisfaction, and colleague engagement.
- Experience managing complex people matters including performance, absence, and formal employee relations cases.
- Ability to lead operations and provide direction and support to colleagues to deliver for customers, including managing disciplinary matters.
- Strong leadership in high-volume, fast-paced operational settings with a focus on customer service and driving results.
