Job Summary
Deliver exceptional customer service by building rapport, answering product questions, and directing inquiries to appropriate team members. Stock product and maintain displays according to merchandising standards across Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral departments. Utilize technology to complete retail tasks related to pricing, inventory, and merchandising while collaborating with managers on additional duties. Work in a fast-paced environment requiring the ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while standing for long periods. Apply strong listening skills and problem-solving competence to troubleshoot issues efficiently. Join a family-owned retailer with over 90 years of history serving communities across six states.
Required Qualifications
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Strong listening and communications skills, face-to-face and virtually
- Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology
- Problem-solving competence and eagerness to troubleshoot when necessary
- Process-driven and able to follow procedures in an organized and efficient way
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling product
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Desire to work with customers on a consistent basis
- Ability to complete a variety of retail tasks related to product, customer service, pricing, inventory, and merchandising
- Ability to build rapport with customers
- Ability to display a friendly and outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language
- Ability to direct customers to another team member when unable to answer their question
