Job Summary
The General Medicine Registered Nurse at Mission Hospital provides patient-centered care across the admission and ongoing shifts, performing procedures, administering medications, documenting care, and educating patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up steps. The role emphasizes timely assessment of changes in patient status, proactive patient advocacy, and collaboration with providers to ensure optimal clinical outcomes. The position requires RN licensure, a Bachelor's degree, and BLS with a preference for at least 1 year of experience in general medicine/inpatient settings, aligned with hospital standards and state practice guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- RN Licensure in appropriate state
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of employment start date
- 1 year of nursing experience preferred
- Competence in patient assessment, documentation, medication administration, patient and family education, and care coordination
