Job Summary
Provide inpatient and outpatient general medicine services while participating in acute and on-call rosters within a multi-disciplinary team. Contribute to registrar, SHO, and medical student teaching, and lead service improvement, clinical governance, and leadership initiatives in an RACP-accredited environment. The Department hosts physicians with subspecialty interests including Cardiology, Infectious Diseases, Gastroenterology, Respiratory, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Geriatrics, and Palliative Care. This role offers a high-quality healthcare environment with excellent work-life balance in Launceston, Tasmania, supported by full registration and visa assistance for UK-trained consultants.
Required Qualifications
- Australian, New Zealand or UK GMC-Trained Specialist
- MRCP (UK) awarded August 2007 onwards
- Full UK postgraduate training completed
- Awarded UK CCT in General Internal Medicine
- Completed entire specialty training within the UK system
- MRCP (UK) awarded August 2009 onwards
- Completion of full UK dual training programme
- CCT in General Internal Medicine and Acute Internal Medicine
- Entire postgraduate training completed within the UK
