Job Summary
Provide direct patient care in a Memorial Belleville General Medicine 2Center unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for oncology/medical-surgical patients. Collaborate with interprofessional team to develop and document individualized care plans, educate patients and families on illness management and post-treatment home care, promote patient safety and quality/regulatory compliance, and pursue professional development and advancement through the BJC RN Career Ladder. The role emphasizes top-of-license nursing, clinical skills in inpatient chemotherapy administration, and participation in professional development activities to support ladder progression and enhanced patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- RN License
- Nursing Diploma/Associate's
- BSN preferred
- Experience in Med/Surg/Oncology is preferred
- BSN Differential (benefit)
- Nursing care planning
- Inpatient chemotherapy administration
- Magnet-recognized organization familiarity
- Ability to work night shifts
- Nursing Career Ladder knowledge
