General Mechanic

Maintenance Mechanic performs maintenance to move, install, repair or erect all types of hospital equipment under supervision. Follows prints, sketches, or instructions; interprets mechanical requirements; uses the correct tools; adheres to safety practices including lockout/tag-out; collaborates with trades (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Electronic); completes work orders, PMs, and related paperwork; trains others and ensures proper storage of parts and tools; maintains clean, organized work areas and provides courteous service to staff and visitors; handles various repairs (desk, shelving, locks, plumbing, minor electrical, carpentry, drywall) and participates in disaster drills and safety procedures.
