Job Summary
Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal parts by forming components to specifications using hand tools, hammers, and rubber presses. Interpret blueprints and product specifications to sequence fabrication, then inspect each operation for conformance to prints. Track work via an ERP system and diagnose simple part issues while collaborating with technical staff on complex problems. Maintain a clean, safe environment and move products as needed, adhering to strict aerospace component standards.
Required Qualifications
- MUST HAVE experience working with manufactured aerospace components
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to communicate clearly with supervisor and coworkers
- Ability to add and subtract and have basic understanding of geometry
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving limited variables in manufacturing process
- Must be able to regularly stand
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Must be able to operate hydraulic press or hammer form
- Must be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
- Must be able to tolerate loud noise level in the work environment
- Applicants must be U.S. Persons as defined by U.S. law, i.e., U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents ('Green Card' holders), persons granted refugee status or asylum status in the United States, or temporary residents granted amnesty
