Job Summary
Lead the General Manager/Operating Partner position by developing a strong staff to satisfy sales, production, service, and supervisory needs, while ensuring recruiting, budgeting, marketing, and sales goals are met. Protect and promote the Whataburger brand, conduct daily operations including Orange Guidebook and NSF checklist compliance, and manage payroll, cash handling audits, and inventory losses. Oversee food quality, customer service, and speed of service across dine-in and drive-thru channels, enforce health and safety certifications, and implement effective receiving and ordering procedures. Achieve budgeted sales and Gross Operating Profit targets through incentive programs and suggestive sales techniques, while maintaining clean, safe, and energy-efficient operations. Participate in the skills development program to achieve required position certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must have the ability to stand during entire shift.
- Ability to read (Orders on tickets, Menu Board, receipts, etc.)
- Ensures compliance with all State and Local health department required food handling certifications for entire staff.
