Job Summary
General Manager responsible for leading store operations and driving profitability, team development, customer satisfaction, and compliance. You will oversee daily operations, scheduling, safety programs, inventory and merchandise planning, budgeting and financial reporting, and action-oriented initiatives to meet performance targets. The role emphasizes coaching and developing a high-performing team, fostering an inclusive, collaborative culture, delivering a superior shopping experience, and executing company programs and processes. You will partner with peers to implement continuous improvement, analyze trends, control costs, manage cash procedures, respond to customer feedback, and ensure adherence to audits, policies, and regulations. This position requires strong leadership, communication, relationship-building, organization, and strategic decision-making skills and is based in-store (Huber Heights, OH) with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits through Wawa.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Flexible availability to work various shifts, including weekends, and holidays
- Proven leadership experience in fast-paced retail, food service, or fuel environments
- Proven ability to coach, develop, and inspire career growth in individuals
- Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently
- Skilled in problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making
- Solid understanding of store financials and their impact on business performance
- Demonstrated ability to proactively recognize trends and drive change to achieve optimal business results
