Job Summary
General Manager Turkey for Abbott’s Established Pharmaceuticals Division (EPD) leads country strategy and affiliate operations in Istanbul. Translates division strategies into actionable affiliate plans, drives sustainable growth and profitability, and oversees talent attraction/retention, engagement and organizational health. Shapes external environment, engages with governments, regulatory agencies and other stakeholders, and mentors staff to build a high-performing team. Responsible for setting KPIs, allocating resources, ensuring compliance with internal/external regulations, and delivering results through cross-functional leadership and strategic execution.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree required in business/management or science
- Experience managing commercial operations (sales, product marketing, payer models) in pharma/consumer healthcare
- Experience in managing P&L and budgets
- English and local language fluency
- Ability to develop and coach employees; management experience leading managers
- Ability to lead across functions, geographies, cultures and divisions
- Ability to communicate business strategy and empower functions to contribute
- Experience in navigating complex regulatory environments and stakeholder engagement
- Leadership skills in talent management and succession planning
- Experience in building a high performing organization in a matrix environment
