General Manager - Transport

Manage daily dispatch, maintenance, and routing of the transport fleet while monitoring telematics to reduce downtime and fuel consumption. Align transport schedules with procurement, warehousing, and sales to maintain a smooth flow of goods and implement best practices that reduce bottlenecks. Hold complete P&L responsibility for the transport division, developing budgets, negotiating contracts with third-party logistics providers, and approving high-value tenders. Enforce local and international transport laws, driver regulations, and workplace safety guidelines while overseeing strict preventive maintenance schedules. Recruit, train, and mentor staff including drivers, mechanics, and logistics coordinators. Negotiate contracts with shipping vendors, suppliers, and key corporate clients to optimize service levels.
