Job Summary
General Manager for the on-site supplies and tool rental operation at a multi-contractor construction project in Haskell, TX. Own the operational performance, including revenue contribution, margin, inventory carrying costs, and expense management; serve as the internal SME on supplies and tool rental; build and enforce SOPs; manage the onsite tool rental fleet, stock levels, and category mix; coordinate with supply chain and vendors; surface opportunities for product expansion; partner with the commercial team to align execution with project commitments; hire, onboard, and develop branch staff; set performance expectations and coach the team; manage supplier relationships for consumables and tools; relocate with relocation assistance as required.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in tool rental, construction supplies, industrial distribution, or a combination of these
- Demonstrated experience managing a location or operation with accountability for results, not just activity
- Strong product knowledge across tool rental and industrial/construction consumables; ability to function as an SME in both categories
- Inventory management experience: systems, replenishment, reconciliation, and physical operations
- Proven ability to lead a team, set standards, and drive consistent execution without constant oversight
- Comfort operating independently in a fast-moving, project-based, or remote jobsite environment
