Job Summary
Analyze operations to evaluate performance, identify growth opportunities, and determine areas for cost reduction or policy change. Appoint department heads, delegate responsibilities, and establish departmental functions while maintaining accountability across all teams. Lead sales and marketing efforts by utilizing CRM data, participating in road shows, and negotiating contracts with event partners to drive facility utilization. Oversee budgetary control systems, financial activities, and human resources planning to maximize returns and ensure continuing operations. Implement corrective action plans, prepare financial reports, and represent the organization at official functions and with community stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business management, sports management, marketing, hospitality, related field, or equivalent experience
- Prior responsibility in daily P&L management and budget oversight responsibility of $1MM or greater
- Proven management and leadership experience in the food and beverage, recreational, and entertainment industry
- Operational knowledge of risk management
- Skilled at identifying and creating opportunities to deliver revenue goals
- Sports programming and sports event operations expertise required
- A minimum of 7 years of management experience
- Ability to travel nationally by air and regionally by car
- Availability to work nights and weekends
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds waist high
Desired Qualifications
- Operational knowledge of F&B and entertainment, as well as parties, corporate events, and team building preferred
- Prior experience in contracting or overseeing others who have sold corporate sponsorships, birthday parties, corporate parties, tournaments, leagues, camps, and other related services preferred
- Prior experience managing marketing programs
