Job Summary
General Manager needed to lead on-site Bracebridge manufacturing operations with accountability for safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Drive production planning, workflow coordination, and resource allocation; develop and coach department managers; promote continuous improvement and lean initiatives; establish and monitor KPIs; collaborate with sales, finance, and admin to align capacity with growth; oversee workplace safety programs and regulatory compliance; lead change initiatives and strategic capital planning to improve productivity and profitability. Ideal candidate brings 10+ years of manufacturing leadership, strong cross-functional collaboration, financial acumen, and a proven track record in operational excellence; engineering/operations/business post-secondary education is an asset.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within manufacturing or industrial operations
- demonstrated success in leading multi-department manufacturing operations or plant-level leadership
- strong background in operational leadership, continuous improvement, and performance management
- ability to develop and mentor teams, foster accountability and collaboration
- experience implementing operational metrics, dashboards, and process improvements
- strong financial and business acumen with ability to balance operational priorities with growth plans
- excellent communication and leadership skills across departments
- post-secondary education in engineering, operations management, business or related field is an asset
- experience in manufacturing sectors such as building materials or process-driven environments is advantageous
- Lean, Six Sigma, or related operational excellence training is considered an asset
