Job Summary
Lead a newly built Worcester, MA Subsurface Utility Engineering operation as General Manager, overseeing field and office functions across Worcester metro and broader Massachusetts. Drive market presence, client acquisition, and day-to-day SUE, utility markout, and vacuum excavation services. Own revenue growth and division performance with full organizational backing; recruit and develop technicians and project managers; ensure quality, safety, and compliance; manage budgeting, forecasting, and EBITDA; build a high-performing team from a standing start. Requires extensive experience in underground infrastructure, strong business development, and proven P&L leadership.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in underground infrastructure services with direct knowledge of SUE, utility markout, or vacuum excavation operations
- Proven P&L leadership at a regional or divisional level
- Strong business development track record with demonstrated ability to generate new client relationships and grow recurring revenue
- Experience managing multi-crew field operations, estimating, scheduling, and QA/QC in a utility services environment
- Valid driver's license
