Job Summary
General Manager Reno will lead site P&L and execution, directing short- and long-range objectives, budgets, and operating plans while building a high-performing leadership team and fostering a purpose-driven culture. The role requires strategic collaboration, governance of financials and resources, and alignment with regulatory and biosecurity/animal welfare standards, along with delivering customer-centered growth and process improvements across laboratory operations and site management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in life science
- At least ten years experience in scientific and management in the life sciences, pharmaceutical, or contract research fields
- Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Excellent written, verbal and problem-solving skills
- Highly effective interpersonal skills conducive to effective communication
- Previous experience having financial responsibility for one or more business units
- Must be an excellent negotiator with contracts and have a demonstrated track record of accomplishments with service labs
- Sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus
