Job Summary
Direct and train supervisors across all production facets, including paperwork, yields, time and attendance, discipline, motivation, turnover, absenteeism, and safety problem solving. Oversee performance, safety, quality, workers compensation, bid movement, and team morale while managing production schedules, product rotation, and CCP verification. Review team members in these roles to develop and improve deficient areas, lead the safety committee, and handle special projects. Perform physical floor audits and inspections, tolerating environmental conditions ranging from 28 to 45 degrees. Requires B Shift availability and some travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 plus years' experience in a supervisory role
- Must be able to access all areas of the production floor to conduct audits and inspections
- Must be able to tolerate environmental conditions in the area of responsibility
- Temperature range from 28 - 45 degrees
- Basic computer skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Able to communicate with all levels of management
- Team leader problem solving and motivation to take on special projects
- Some travel required as needed
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- Two years employment at Tyson or equivalent experience preferred
- Familiarity with processing floor operation is a plus
- HACCP certification a plus
- Understanding of basic HACCP principals and the ability to perform CCP monitoring verification
- Knowledge of fresh meats processing a plus
