Job Summary
General Manager needed to lead Madisons' flagship private training club in Haywards Heath, England. You will oversee a team of 8–15 across coaching, sales and operations, drive membership growth and retention, ensure exceptional member experiences, and manage financial performance with a focus on scalable systems for future expansion. You will work closely with the Founder and senior leadership on projects to support growth, lead from the front, set high standards, develop talent, and continuously improve operations and culture as the business scales across locations. The role emphasizes leadership, team development, commercial accountability, customer experience, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver world-class service and sustainable profitability.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a General Manager, Club Manager, Operations Manager or similar leadership role
- Experience leading and developing teams of 8–15 people
- Proven experience improving membership growth, retention, revenue or overall business performance
- Strong leadership, communication and people-management skills
- Commercial awareness and confidence working with KPIs and business metrics
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving ability
- A genuine passion for health, fitness and personal development
- P&L ownership and budget management experience
