Job Summary
The Hotel General Manager (GM) oversees all aspects of hotel operations to drive financial performance, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence. Lead, manage, and motivate all departments; oversee daily operations; drive revenue and cost control; monitor guest feedback and implement service improvements; recruit, hire, and develop leaders and staff; set performance goals and ensure compliance with policies, safety regulations, and labor requirements. Collaborate with sales/marketing to boost occupancy, RevPAR, and market share; oversee maintenance and capital-projects; build strong relationships with ownership, community, and brand representatives; handle escalated guest concerns and represent the hotel at industry events. Requires strategic planning, leadership, and strong communication and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in PMS and Microsoft Office. Bilingual skills are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive hotel management experience, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership role (GM, AGM, or Director of Operations)
- F&B experience required
- Strong financial acumen with budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management
- Experience with property management systems (PMS) and financial reporting tools
- Knowledge of brand standards and ability to maintain compliance
- Valid Driver's License and insurability to operate company vehicles
