Job Summary
Lead bakery-cafe operations and drive performance as General Manager at Panera. Own all aspects of leading the team, including staffing needs, scheduling, people development, training, succession planning, and performance management. Hire, onboard, and motivate the team; ensure guest satisfaction, quality standards, and adherence to policies and regulatory requirements. Develop managers on people processes and Panera’s Guiding Values & Behaviors; execute company strategies and initiatives; cultivate a culture of warmth, belonging, growth, and trust; manage costs and inventory while maintaining safe, healthy operations. Role requires flexible hours including nights and weekends and background check; ServSafe certification is required or achievable. Pay range is $65,000-$75,000 depending on experience and location.
Required Qualifications
- ServSafe certification (or ability to achieve)
- 3+ years of restaurant General Manager experience preferred
- Background check required to receive job offer
- Flexible hours including nights and weekends in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift, stand and move in a fast-paced restaurant setting
- Strong leadership, coaching, and people-development skills
- Experience developing managers on people processes and Panera Guiding Values & Behaviors
- Ability to manage staffing, scheduling, training, and performance management
