Job Summary
General Manager/Operating Partner for a drive-in restaurant, responsible for leading and managing overall operations and staff. Key duties include recruiting and hiring staff, coaching and disciplining employees, scheduling, managing compensation, ensuring guest satisfaction, operating opening/closing, resolving guest and employee issues, planning and adjusting food, labor, paper, and inventory for cost-control and quality, leading team meetings, maintaining records and operational reports, implementing local marketing and business-performance action plans, equipment maintenance, vendor management, compliance with policies and laws, sanitation, and performing station duties as needed. Requires minimum 50 hours/week, irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. Requires high school diploma or equivalent; 3+ years restaurant management experience (QSR preferred); strong knowledge of labor and health & safety laws; excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least three years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred)
- Experience running a restaurant shift without supervision
- Experience recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and managing employees
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws (wage and hour laws, EEO)
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety laws and regulations
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Problem-solving, multi-tasking, decision-making, leadership, time-management, and conflict-resolution skills
- Education: Advanced studies in business, restaurant management, or related fields (preferred)
