Job Summary
General Manager (GM) responsible for overseeing operations of the Salt & Straw shop in Tempe, AZ, driving guest experiences, staffing, budgeting, safety/compliance, community engagement, and leadership of AGMs, Shift Coordinators, and Scoopers. Focus on delivering exceptional guest service, managing labor costs, maintaining quality and safety standards, and achieving financial performance through strategic decision-making and team development. Participation in local events and marketing activations to build brand awareness; ensure food safety and health regulations are met; maintain shop cleanliness and inventory; mentor and coach team members; engage with the community; and communicate company updates across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- 3+ years of experience in food service, fast-casual dining, or hospitality-focused industry
- 2+ years of progressive experience as a leader/manager/supervisor
- 1+ years of experience in leading a team of 10+ Team Members in a high-volume retail/restaurant establishment
- Valid Manager Food Safety Certification (required within 30 days of the start of employment or based on state or local requirement)
- Fluency in English
- Ability to work evenings and late nights, weekends, and holidays
