Job Summary
General Manager / Bakery Manager Lead Operator role directing bakery team and day-to-day operations, including guest experience, cake production, brand/merchandise presentation, P&L management, inventory control, and ensuring high-quality cakes and superior service. Leads recruiting and coaching, sets weekly sales goals and production plans, manages inventory and supplier orders, oversees safety and compliance, handles payroll and reporting, and drives local community engagement and marketing efforts. Requires leadership experience in retail/hospitality/foodservice, ability to analyze financial data, strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and a focus on delivering an exceptional guest experience. Must be able to work varied shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays; high school diploma or GED required; foodservice safety training certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; post-secondary education is a plus
- 1-3 years of leadership experience managing teams, business operations and the guest experience in the retail, hospitality or foodservice industries
- Demonstrated success in hiring and developing teams, creating a superior service environment and achieving financial objectives
- Experience in creating productivity goals, inventory par levels and team schedules, and managing costs
- Foodservice safety training certificate (or required to obtain within 30 days of employment)
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, with comfort in learning new technologies
