Job Summary
General Manager for a high-volume private event venue with elevated daily service, leading operations across private events and day-to-day hospitality service; accountable for staffing, training, guest experience, financial performance, vendor and facility management, and compliance; requires extensive hospitality leadership, proficiency with Toast, TripleSeat, and OpenTable, and certifications (DC ABRA Manager-on-Duty, ServSafe) to ensure regulatory and service standards.
Required Qualifications
- 7-10 years of progressive hospitality management experience
- significant leadership experience in restaurants, bars, hospitality venues, or private event operations
- proven experience managing both private events and high-volume daily service environments
- strong financial acumen with direct P&L management experience
- experience opening new venues or scaling hospitality operations (strongly preferred)
- proficiency with hospitality systems including Toast, TripleSeat, and OpenTable
- strong operational knowledge of reservations management, service flow, staffing, and event logistics
- excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- DC ABRA Manager-on-Duty certification required prior to employment
- ServSafe (or equivalent) certification required prior to employment
