Job Summary
Manage fixed route, paratransit, and microtransit operations by controlling daily contract delivery, overseeing vehicle maintenance, and ensuring fleet availability. Direct location staff through recruitment, training, and mentorship while maintaining client relations and conducting periodic departmental audits. Review key operational metrics daily, weekly, and monthly to manage financial performance, report exceptions, and develop action plans. Ensure compliance with company, contract, and regulatory requirements including DOT and FTA standards. Create and present the annual budget, participate in labor and employee relations activities, and provide insights for contract renewals.
Required Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent business management experience
- Management experience
- Minimum of five years of comprehensive experience in operations management
- Seven years of management or supervisory experience in a transit environment
- Knowledge of scheduling software
- Labor/union(s) negotiations/expenses expertise
- Full understanding of dispatch, scheduling, driver recruitment, and safety, DOT, and FTA compliance
- MS Office skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High degree of multi-tasking skills
- Must be subject to a pre-employment drug test
- Must be subject to a background check
