Job Summary
Oversee all facility operations across Ferrous, Non-Ferrous, Processing, Transportation, and Administrative departments, managing a team of 15-20 employees. Direct daily work duties, train new staff, and implement growth strategies to achieve production targets for volume processed, material recovery, and quality. Enforce a strong safety culture by scheduling preventative maintenance, resolving employee conflicts, and approving time cards for payroll. Lead a customer service-oriented team while optimizing processes and equipment performance to meet monthly and annual goals.
Required Qualifications
- Leadership experience in a scrap yard or warehouse operations
- Transportation scheduling experience
- Ability to lead and motivate others
- Ability to relate and resolve employee conflicts and disagreements
- Heavy equipment operating experience such as frontend loaders, skid-steer, excavators and forklifts
- Four-year bachelors degree
- Ability to sit, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and work on your feet for extended periods of time
- The employee occasionally is required to lift up to 50 pounds
- The employee is frequently required to use hands, fingers, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and stoop, kneel or crouch
