Job Summary
General Manager — lead daily store operations for Great American Cookies & Marble Slab Creamery in Baton Rouge. Responsible for overall profitability, guest experience, and leadership of the store’s management team. Key duties include recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, and developing team members; driving sales; controlling labor, food, and paper costs; monitoring health, safety, and quality standards; overseeing inventory, scheduling, and scheduling accuracy; analyzing financial reports and implementing action plans; developing assistant managers and shift leaders; executing local store marketing and community outreach; and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 3+ years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality management experience preferred
- Proven leadership and team development skills
- Strong financial and operational acumen
- ServSafe Food Manager Certification preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
