Job Summary
Lead the International Moving Division by overseeing operations from sales and pricing through international shipping, customs, and destination services. Manage workflows for ocean and air freight, establish KPIs, and coach teams across sales, operations, and customer service to drive revenue growth and efficiency. Resolve complex shipment escalations, implement process improvements, and work directly with ownership on strategic initiatives and technology adoption. This hands-on role requires 10+ years of international household goods moving experience and involves balancing daily execution with long-term scaling in a fully remote environment.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of international household goods moving experience
- Previous experience managing an international moving company, business unit, or major division
- Extensive hands-on knowledge of international household goods shipping
- Extensive hands-on knowledge of ocean freight
- Extensive hands-on knowledge of air freight
- Extensive hands-on knowledge of customs procedures
- Extensive hands-on knowledge of international shipping documentation
- Extensive hands-on knowledge of destination services
- Extensive hands-on knowledge of pricing and quoting
- Experience overseeing multiple departments, ideally including Sales, Operations, Pricing, Sales Support, and Customer Service
- Proven experience managing and developing remote teams
- Strong leadership and employee coaching skills
- Experience building KPIs, SOPs, and accountability systems
- Ability to improve operational workflows and processes
- Experience handling complex customer escalations
- Excellent written and verbal English communication
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of computer proficiency
- Comfortable learning and implementing new technology
