Job Summary
Achieve overall store sales goals and service objectives while managing and growing Professional Customer relationships. Select, hire, develop, and coach the store team, ensuring execution of inventory and operational standards. Provide DIY service including battery installation and testing, and lead change management to foster a respectful environment. Review and analyze P&L statements to maintain profitability and service appearance standards. Work a schedule of 5-6 days per week with 11-hour shifts, including rotating nights and weekends. Advance Auto Parts serves both professional installers and DIY customers across thousands of locations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 50-55 hours per week
- 5-6 days a week
- 11 hour shifts
- Rotating nights and weekends
- Valid driver's license
- Speak and write English
- Use Microsoft software effectively (Word, Excel required)
- Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, sales increases, and gross profit percent
- Ability to review and analyze business reports, such as profit and loss statement (P&L)
- Hold others accountable, inspect work quality and give feedback in a way that is inspiring
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings and weekends as needed
- 2-3 years of experience managing a team of 10 - 20 Team Members
- Successful experience managing profitability
- Proven financial and business acumen
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related area
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds

- Ability to review and analyze P&L statement
- Ability to recruit, select, hire and develop quality Team Members
- Ability to build and grow relationships with Professional Customers
- Working knowledge of automotive systems
- Speak and write English (Spanish a plus)
- Use Microsoft software effectively (PowerPoint preferred)
- Ability to review and analyze business reports, such as profit and loss statement (P&L)
- Ability to become ASE P2 certified or ASE ready equivalent

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), Bachelor's degree in business or a related area preferred
- ASE certification preferred, but not required
