Job Summary
General Manager II at Advance Auto Parts (Store 6500, Austell, GA) leads a professional sales and management position focused on achieving store sales goals, managing Professional Customer relationships, and coaching a team of 10–20 associates. Responsible for hiring, development, performance management, scheduling, and ensuring inventory and operational standards are met. Includes duties as an on-duty manager with floor/phone management, safety, and open/close responsibilities. Requires extensive knowledge of automotive systems, parts lookup, and DIY services (battery/wiper installs, etc.), and includes accountability for interpreting P&L, driving program growth, and delivering Customer action plans. Strong emphasis on effective communication, building relationships with customers and team members, and ability to work 5–6 days per week with long shifts; ASE certification is preferred, and English (Spanish a plus) and Microsoft Office proficiency are expected.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Bachelor's degree in business or related area preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- ASE certification preferred but not required
- Experience: 2-3 years managing a team in a fast-paced retail environment
- Ability to manage P&L and profitability
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; PowerPoint preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
