Job Summary

The General Manager II leads site management at the distribution center, directing warehouse policies, procedures, and lean initiatives (5S, Gemba walks, Kaizen events) to maximize efficiency, safety, and profitability. Responsibilities include KPI and P&L oversight, capacity planning, throughput analysis, and cross-functional coordination with customers and internal partners. The role emphasizes developing bench strength through coaching and mentoring, sustaining a lean culture, and driving continuous improvement using tools such as A3 problem solving and Kaizen events, while managing relationships with customers and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Logistics or Business field or related required
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience within a distribution center and/or warehouse or related required
  • Experience leading a team of salary and hourly associates with strong people-management skills
  • Experience with labor/workforce management systems (i.e. SAP, Red Prairie, High Jump) highly desired
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt preferred but not required
