Job Summary
Lead data collection operations in the Philippines by identifying factories and skilled workers, managing local supply chains for hardware, and overseeing technical procurement. Implement rigorous quality assurance protocols to ensure error-free data feeds while rallying and mentoring a diverse team of contractors and interns. Maintain a 24/7 operational rhythm by coordinating shifts across time zones and iterating workflows to maximize throughput. Serve as the bridge between US engineering leadership and local execution, troubleshooting hardware issues and ensuring secure data uploads. This role supports a US-based AI robotics startup building physical autonomy systems for next-generation robots.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in operations management, project management, or a leadership role in a fast-paced environment (e.g., manufacturing, logistics, or tech ops)
- Exceptional English and Filipino communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience managing large, diverse teams of contractors or interns
- A 'hands-on' technical aptitude — you are comfortable working around robotics, hardware, and basic tools
- Ability to manage complex schedules and resource allocation across multiple time zones
- Fiber internet (PLDT Fiber, Converge, Globe Fiber, etc.) - recommended speed of 100/50 Mbps
- Backup internet (mobile hotspot or secondary ISP) capable of at least 20 Mbps
- Quiet, conducive home workspace
Desired Qualifications
- Wired Ethernet connection preferred during work hours
- Power backup (UPS) if the location experiences frequent outages
