Job Summary
Provide strategic leadership for all food service operations within a dynamic campus environment, overseeing retail dining, catering services, conference operations, and seasonal business activities. Lead a diverse team focused on delivering exceptional service and operational excellence while building strong client partnerships. Manage financial performance through effective budgeting, forecasting, labour management, and cost controls to ensure compliance with all company, client, and regulatory requirements. Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture focused on engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement while driving innovation and business growth.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of progressive food service leadership experience
- Proven success managing food service operations with full Profit & Loss accountability
- Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial management
- Experience leading multi-faceted food service operations
- Experience managing catering, conference, and hospitality services
- Strong proficiency with technology, including POS systems, digital menu boards/screens, and Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Strong team-building, coaching, and employee development skills
- Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management capabilities
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to analyze financial results and use data to drive business decisions
- Red Seal certification is considered an asset
Desired Qualifications
- Previous management experience in a unionized environment preferred
