Job Summary
Manage all aspects of a retail store operation by recruiting, developing, and mentoring staff while overseeing product assortment, inventory, and margin analysis. Drive store profitability through superior merchandising, visual placement strategies, and promotion of loyalty programs. Ensure full compliance with safety, loss prevention, and policy standards while controlling wage and expense budgets. Lead the development of individual plans for direct and indirect reports to foster consistent execution. This role requires frequent travel up to 75% including nights and weekends, with a requirement to pass federal background checks and potentially relocate. The position reports to a District Manager within Fleet Farm's Store Operations department.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Big Box management experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong understanding of retail operations, logistics, compliance, and merchandising
- Ability to travel frequently (up to 75%, including some nights/weekends)
- Ability to pass State and Federal background checks (Federal Firearm Licensing)
- Must be willing and able to relocate as needed to support business needs and career growth opportunities
