Job Summary
Lead hotel operations to achieve guest satisfaction, revenue, and cost-control goals while preparing and managing the annual operating budget. Monitor P&L performance, oversee expense control, and develop quarterly operating plans with measurable action items. Maintain brand standards across all departments, conduct weekly leadership meetings, and coach department leaders on procedures and service goals. Directly supervise staff, inspect guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness, and handle guest recovery and conflict resolution. Schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holidays; reports to Area Operations Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of hotel leadership experience
- Proven experience managing budgets, P&L, and operational KPIs
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Excellent guest recovery and conflict-resolution abilities
- Highly organized with strong multitasking and prioritization skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and scheduling/email systems
- Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable presenting in public forums
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to walk the property, inspect guestrooms and public areas, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Prior General Manager or Assistant GM experience
- PMS experience
- English major
