Job Summary
Lead business development and operations for MedImpact's Europe market by managing pharmacy benefit services for private insurers, employers, and public health programs. Deepen understanding of European healthcare systems to design localized PBM solutions, establish partnerships with HIT vendors, and drive sales to ministries of health and hospital systems. Develop and manage local staff, coach teams, and ensure compliance with regional regulations while achieving documented growth targets. Travel up to 50% domestically and internationally to engage cross-functional US resources and maintain strong relationships with local customers and business partners.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree or equivalent
- 15 years' related experience
- 15 years of SME in respective area(s)
- 12 years supervisory experience
- Supervisory experience may be substituted with 12 years of MedImpact experience plus an appropriate external leadership training program and internal mentorship with a seasoned leader at the Vice President level or above that must be completed within 12 months in new position
- Excellent knowledge of web-based technology platforms
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Visio, and Outlook to create complex documents, manage schedules, create process flows, and analyze data
- Positive and motivating leader with high emotional intelligence to set the vision and strategy for the markets
- Executive presence to work effectively with C-Suite clients and board members
- Must have the ability to close business
- In-depth understanding of MedImpact's capabilities, organization, and resource management protocols
- Strong business knowledge of PBM products and services, and their clinical, technological and operational components
- Willing and able to connect effectively to other organizations at senior levels without prior introduction, to establish instant credibility, and to influence decision-makers both internally and externally
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, in a wide variety of business and professional settings, in both the US and Europe
- Exceptional ability and intuition for finding business solutions and win-win opportunities within a complex and ambiguous environment
- High energy level and strong personal commitment to ensuring MedImpact Europe's success
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
- Valid passport and ability to leave the Switzerland
- Must have the flexibility to work beyond traditional hours and be able to work nights, weekends or on holidays as required
- Travel up to 50% domestically and internationally
