Job Summary
Manage laboratory and facility operations to achieve positive operating margins and meet annual budgetary goals. Directly oversee lab staff, enforce safety protocols, and ensure ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation compliance through regular internal and external audits. Build sales growth by maintaining customer relationships and leading business strategies, while collaborating with HR to manage culture and employee engagement. Approve capital spending, review financial forecasts, and prioritize operational activities to ensure on-time delivery. Travel 10–15% for business purposes. This high-profile role involves corporate and site-level interactions within a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 6 years of Leadership experience in a Laboratory setting
- Preferably in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry
- Proven ability to build consensus, manage diverse engineering teams, and drive accountability
- Familiarity with FCC, EU, CB-Scheme, OSHA, SCC, and other regulatory standards, schemes and regulations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer relations skills
- Ability to manage a business at a profit/loss responsibility level
- Ability to control operating budgets
- Ability to develop and enforce policies and operating practices
- Ability to travel for business purposes
- Ability to work well and communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation
- Experience with Quality, Safety, Standard Operating Procedures, Ethics, and Harassment policies
