Job Summary
Drive hotel profitability through revenue growth, cost management, and guest satisfaction while maintaining operational integrity. Interact with guests and staff in a service-oriented manner, conduct weekly room inspections, and ensure compliance with safety and grooming standards. Collaborate with the Director of Sales to cultivate key accounts, host events, and meet with top clients. Lead monthly financial reviews, prepare forecasts, and oversee budgeted productivity levels across departments. Conduct weekly staff meetings, manage performance appraisals, and coach management trainees. Maintain regular attendance with a 50-hour work week, including occasional extended hours and Manager on Duty coverage.
Required Qualifications
- At least 6 years of progressive experience in hotel management or a related field
- A 4-year college degree with 4-5 years of relevant experience
- A 2-year college degree with 5-6 years of related experience
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems
- Proficiency in company-approved spreadsheets
- Proficiency in word processing software
- Valid driver's license in the applicable state
- Ability to communicate information clearly and effectively
- Strong decision-making skills, able to evaluate alternatives quickly and accurately
- Ability to work under pressure, maintain composure, and manage stress
- Effective problem-solving skills, including anticipating, identifying, and resolving issues
- Ability to synthesize complex information and data from various sources and adjust as needed
- Effective communication and resolution skills with co-workers and guests
- Proficiency in financial data analysis and basic arithmetic functions
- Typically requires a 50-hour work week, with occasional extended hours
- Light physical effort: up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or continuously to move, carry, or lift objects
