Job Summary
The General Manager leads the dealership’s overall performance, growth, and profitability across Parts, Service, and Truck Sales, providing visible leadership to department managers, setting strategy, budgets, and performance targets, and driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and financial results. The GM oversees P&L, compliance with OEM/DOT/OSHA standards, and talent development, while steering market growth, local marketing, and relationship management with customers, vendors, and OEM partners. The role emphasizes building bench strength, safety culture, and succession planning across a multi-department organization.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in the heavy-duty truck, automotive, or related equipment industry
- Proven track record of successful P&L management and multi-departmental leadership
- Strong financial acumen and ability to interpret and act on complex data
- Excellent communication, leadership, and people development skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
