Job Summary
Oversee overall restaurant operations, manage staff, and drive controllable profit plan achievement, guest count growth, and sales building activities. Direct restaurant execution to maintain brand standards, enforce sanitary practices, and develop local marketing plans. Attract, hire, coach, and retain managers and hourly employees while interpreting financial reports to resolve performance gaps. Ensure compliance with all regulations, monitor security procedures, and address customer complaints and employee relations issues proactively. Requires Food Safety Manager certification, 3+ years in restaurant management, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and availability for weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight travel.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail management
- Food Safety Manager certification
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in the English language
- Possess basic math skills
- Must be able to lift a tray weighing up to 25 lbs
- Must be able to lift and carry supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, lift, and grasp
- Must be able to hear well in a loud environment
- Must meet any state, county, or municipal regulation pertaining to health risk concerns about food handling
- Must be able to operate a point-of-sale system
- Must be able to differentiate between monetary denominations
- Must be able to work with all Denny's menu products
- Must be able to work with potentially hazardous chemicals
- Must have sufficient mobility to move and operate in the confined work area
- Must be able to work inside and outside the restaurant
- Must be able to observe staff and all aspects of restaurant operations
- Must be able to stand and walk during an 8 to 10-hour shift
- Must be able to tolerate extreme temperature changes in kitchen and freezer areas
- Must be prepared to multitask in accordance with the demands of the business
- Available to travel, to include occasional overnight and airline travel when applicable
- Has reliable transportation in order to meet banking obligations
Desired Qualifications
- Additional operations and/or leadership experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Proven ability to problem solve and handle high-stress situations
- Interprets financial statements and understands contributing factors
- Must be able to perform job duties of every position
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and additional shifts as needed
