Job Summary
The General Manager is responsible for creating a positive guest service environment, hiring and training staff, and ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction. They will develop and execute business plans, manage financial results, and enforce labor laws and safety regulations. Key skills include team building, organizational and time management skills, as well as strong problem-solving abilities. The position requires a high school diploma and 3 to 5 years of management experience, preferably in the restaurant industry.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 – 5 years in management position (preferably restaurant experience)
- Basic knowledge of computers
- Financial/analytical aptitude including planning, budgeting, scheduling and P & L management
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work long hours and stand for long periods of time
