Job Summary
General Manager – Courtyard by Marriott Poughkeepsie responsible for overall property operations and leadership, including property performance, food and beverage operations, sales and marketing strategy, profitability, revenue generation, HR activities, and guest satisfaction. Leads development and execution of property-wide strategies, ensures brand service initiatives are implemented, and drives relationships with key customers while overseeing labor management, QA audits, capital projects, and adherence to brand standards. Focuses on managing property operations, revenue generation, cost controls, and sustaining guest service excellence through effective team leadership and stakeholder engagement.
Required Qualifications
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 4 years’ experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales and marketing, management operations, or related professional area.
- 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years’ experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales and marketing, management operations, or related professional area.
