Job Summary
Serve as the primary Human Resources partner for hotel leadership and associates, guiding managers on employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution. Conduct workplace investigations, administer disciplinary actions, and manage the full-cycle recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding. Coordinate orientation, compliance training, and performance evaluations while interpreting company policies to ensure legal compliance. Maintain accurate employee records, support payroll processes, and analyze turnover trends to recommend improvement strategies. Plan engagement initiatives, monitor federal and state employment law compliance, and handle sensitive information with confidentiality. Work on-site in a hotel environment, occasionally working long hours, weekends, or holidays as required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Experience managing employee relations, investigations, recruiting, onboarding, and performance management
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the telephone, and through written correspondence
- Ability to occasionally work long hours, weekends, or holidays to support hotel operations, recruiting events, investigations, or associate activities, as required
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Ability to work on-site in a hotel environment
- Ability to move throughout the property for extended periods, including guest and associate areas
- Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, reach, and use hands to operate office equipment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally
- Ability to travel on occasion for meetings
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred
- Experience supporting a Marriott-branded property or other branded hotel
- SHRM-CP, or PHR certification, ideal but not required
